Collection and Use of Personal Information

This site only stores the following personal information about you:

• Email address
• Username
• Password (encrypted and salted~)
• When you last logged in
• IP Address (this isn't strictly private info. but it's nice for you to know!)

It does not store the following:

• Names
• Addresses
• Phone number(s)
• Credit card number(s)

It uses this information to:

• Administer your account
• Send you the occasional email
• Improve KRDL and it's "marketing" efforts
• Conduct research and analysis
• Respond to your questions and concerns

Disclosure of Personal Information

How can your personal information be disclosed when only your email address and username are known?

PayPal (assuming you're a premium member)

If you choose to use PayPal to pay for premium, you will provide your credit/debit card number directly to PayPal. PayPal's privacy policy will apply to the information you provide on the PayPal Web site.

Analytics

KRDL uses Matomo to track you whilst using the site. It tracks where you've come from (direct entry, website etc.), what country you are from and what pages you visit whilst using KRDL. This information is used to improve the site. Only parts of your IP Address are provided to KRDL using this software, so attaching your KRDL account to the information collected is not 100% possible.

One thing to note, KRDL uses widgets provided by both Twitter and Facebook on the home page and news posts. It is well known that these sites collect info. from you using these widgets. I personally don't believe this will harm you in any way currently, but in the event that this can be used to do harm to your privacy rights, they will be removed. Also, you can always enable tracking protection within your browser, this will prevent any collection of data from these sites.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to this site. It follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted, both during transmission and once it is received. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, this site cannot guarantee its absolute security.
