I use the iOS VLC app to download videos on my phone. On the previous version of this site the process went like this:
- Copy file URL. (example.com/file/video.mkv)
- Paste it in VLC’s download option.
- enjoy!

However, when I tap on the “download” button next to the episode I want on this site my browser does nothing.

Is there a way you can list the download url similar to the old site?

So, as you know there are download speed restrictions in place, to do this I have written a few packages that control this for both premium and regular users. The packages discover whether or not you're premium and then tells the server how quickly to push the file to you. The files you get given through the site are not public URLs, meaning you can't just type in a url like krdl.moe/myfile.mp4 and view that file. It gets processed first and then sent. Because of this files can not be streamed to things like VLC.

The way you'd play the video in VLC is to download the file you want and then do a direct open.

On the contrary, my iPhone has 256gb of space. The issue is that without the actual file link I can’t watch or download the video. But like I said, I could always use my pc to download the files.

Very odd... Perhaps try using firefox on the phone, may allow the file to be downloaded.
